Every year, Girls Group provides free school supplies to help participants feel prepared on their first day of school!
This year’s annual Back-to-School event was a joyful reunion for participants, families, and staff, creating the perfect space to gear up for the new school year. Participants picked up essential school supplies and connected with the Girls Group staff members assigned to their schools. The day was filled with connection and excitement as participants shared summer stories, packed their new backpacks, and left feeling motivated and ready to tackle the school year with pride!
In addition to generating excitement for the upcoming school year, providing school supplies also relieved some financial burden on families, allowing them to focus on other necessities. “I think it was really cool that Girls Group gave us hygiene items along with the school supplies,”one participant explained.
At the event, one parent shared, “Girls Group really gave my daughter a sense of community at school. I’m excited that she will bring in some more friends who can also experience the community of Girls Group this year.” We couldn’t agree more!
