Zuleyka “Zuly” Uria is a Social Work Supervisor at Girls Group. She studied at Eastern Michigan University and got her BSW and then went on to get her MSW at the University of Michigan. She was a participant of the original cohorts at Girls Group, and since then has been dedicated to helping refugee and immigrant populations, as well as youth, adolescents, and young adults. Zuleyka has worked as a co-facilitator for Teens Support Group for WICIR and as a Bilingual Intake Coordinator at Amplify Collectivo. She interned as a Program Coordinator with the Adolescent and Young Adult Oncology Program at Motts Children’s Hospital of Michigan Medicine and at Jewish Family Services as a Refugee Resettlement School Enrollments Coordinator and Immigration Specialist. She currently works full-time at Jewish Family Services as an Immigration Services Case Manager assisting refugee populations through their immigration journey.
