Londyn joined Girls Group in 6th grade because she was interested in the opportunities to learn and grow. Since joining, Londyn regularly attends group programs at school, weekday and weekend enrichment programs, and our summer enrichment programs.
One of the most important lessons she learned is to be inclusive of everyone. She says that “Nobody Left Behind”, one of the Girls Group standards, is important to her because being there for others is a quality that she admires in herself and those around her. Since joining Girls Group, Londyn has showcased leadership skills and always makes an effort to spend quality time with other participants through various activities and conversations.
Something Londyn is looking forward to is participating in Girls Group’s Youth Leadership Council this year. She says she’s especially looking forward to this because she enjoys meeting new people from other schools, and because she wants to get more involved with Girls Group programs.
When asked how Girls Group impacted her, Londyn says, “Girls Group makes me a better person with the content they provide and the conversations we have.”
Londyn’s favorite memory was when she attended the MSU 4H overnight trip with Girls Group last year. She enjoyed meeting other teens from around the state, engaging with new material and experiences, and dancing with her friends.
